The Gypsy Queens are a local troupe of drag performers that are popular in the TriCities area of upper northeast Tennessee. I have been photographing them for a couple of years. Recently one of their members died from cancer. A memorial performance was given in tribute to Tim who had been a drag performer for over forty years. The green room was used as a private area with Tim’s props and costumes. The last section of photos are of Tim (Crystal Blue) and some of his fans paying their respects. The last photo was the first shot ever I took of Crystal while she waited for the start of the show.
